Please Be Aware!

The message below was received from a concern citizen, and is being passed on to alert others. ____________________________________________________________________________ MPNA Member Foils Local Assault [I promised not to reveal the victim's name] I am a member of the MPNA, and I wanted to notify you, that, last night (December 21), as I was running in the La Mott area, right around Beech and Sycamore, a man tried to attack me. I fought him off successfully and screamed loudly, so he ran away. The police came but they were unable to find him. Sadly, I screamed for help numerous times and no one came out of their house to help. I think it would be really beneficial if the La Mott and Melrose Park area neighbors are aware that there is a man on the prowl, and to reconsider walking/jogging alone at night. Residents are encouraged to report suspicious people and activity immediately, to Police, via 9-1-1.
